The days are filled with a hazy sunlight, gentle as gauze; the nights are crisp and cool, just right. There’s a break in the rainy seasons, it seems, and lately the warmth is so comfortable. Little patches of yellow wildflowers grow between the trees. Inside the aquarium, the air is salty and reminds me of ocean wind, the kind that used to wrap around me back on the west coast. The seasons change so fast. Soon, I know, all too soon, it will be a shivery kind of cold out and toasty warm indoors again.
